On the orders of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the Saudi government has invited and hosted a group of Hindu officials who are well-known for their animosity toward Islam and Muslims in India over the past few days. In the center of Medina, close to the Prophet’s Mosque, the government accommodated them.
Muslims in India, who occasionally face hate crimes and attacks as a result of media campaigns spearheaded by some of the people hosted by MBS, declined the invitation and denounced the hosting.
The visit was greeted with the same level of indignation in Saudi society, with some saying that fostering diplomatic and commercial ties with nations is not the same as welcoming individuals who are known to be anti-Muslim and inciting Hindus against them.
The delegation chairman
Smriti Z Irani, the Indian Minister of Child Development, Women, and Minority Affairs, led the delegation that the Saudi government hosted. Irani’s duties include protecting Muslim rights because they are a religious minority in India. After joining the BJP in 2003, she went on to work as one of the prime minister of India’s leading aides to Narendra Modi, who is well-known for his animosity toward Muslims, incitement of them, and opposition to the hijab.
The Hindu minister’s publication of a video clip showing him just meters from the Prophet’s mosque, may God bless and grant him peace, infuriated Indian Muslims.
It should be noted that this minister was among those who supported the film The Kashmir Files, which promoted misinformation about Hindus, the minority group in Kashmir, and their supposed persecution for murder, torture, and rape. Due to the film’s sectarian campaigns, these incidents increased anti-Muslim sentiment and increased the risk of torture, home burning, and vandalism for Muslims.
The Indian minister’s crimes did not end there. In April 2023, as part of the Israeli occupation’s celebration of Independence Day, she represented India and congratulated Israel on creating a state based on the ruins of Palestinians.
Al Madinah Al Munawwarah hosts enemies of Muslims
In recent years, there have been multiple incidents of Israeli personnel entering the Prophet’s Mosque and loitering inside it. A Zionist of Russian origin called “Ben Zion” filmed himself inside the Prophet’s Mosque wearing clothes bearing Hebrew text.
According to activists, certain individuals who went into the Prophet’s mosque and the mosque in Mecca and took pictures of themselves had covertly received authorization from the authorities.
Opponents of such visits said that “the government manipulates us according to the principle of ‘getting used to the shock’ by shocking us repeatedly until we get used to Zionists entering the Two Holy Mosques. After that, we witness them planting trees in the Khaybar region and declaring that it is our land, to which we shall return in due course.”
Apart from the sheikhs’ interpretations, which were recently preventing non-Muslims from entering the Two Holy Mosques and have since been resolved, MBS is breaking the sanctity barrier for Muslims in the Kingdom by touring the Two Holy Mosques with private and group delegations. This opens the door for future revelations of hidden matters. So why does MBS do this on purpose?
