During the ordeal of the Palestinian cause, all Arab regimes claimed their contributions to the cause, making the most efforts, and paying the price alone.
This is what channels broadcast but in secret the situation is different. Even the Saudi regime, which is establishing NEOM for the Zionist occupation while claiming to develop the Kingdom’s economy with the participation of Egypt and Jordan, was at a time manipulating the Palestinian cause and put the phrase “Jerusalem first” decorated on the map of Palestine in some officials’ offices, but the Saudi guardian revealed the truth when he said, “we were supporting Islamic movements and causes at the behest of the USA.”
Thus, the truth is that there are roles distributed for each regime. This of course does not question the loyalty of some individuals to the cause, but it reveals the main policy of those regimes.
This introduction serves as a quick background on the reality of the regimes, especially the Saudi regime on the Palestinian cause, to make it easier to understand why the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohamed bin Salman, suppressed his people from Al-Huwaitat tribe in order to chart a new future for the Zionist occupation at the centre of Arab societies.
Recently, with the escalation of violence in Jerusalem, the electronic committees of MBS started spreading the slogan (Palestine Not my cause), to stand against the people of Palestine and try to remove any sympathy from the hearts of the Arab people towards them.
This reflects the fact that the new wave of normalization- led by the UAE and Saudi Arabia– is working on two directions; the first is to allocate the administration of Saudi Arabia from NEOM to ensure that the Crown Prince will remain in his position and become a king after his father, and the second is to spread a campaign of hatred for the Palestinians and hostility to the Palestinian cause.
Perhaps this is not new, but it was confirmed especially after the Wall Street Journal revealed that Saud Al-Qahtani, a close advisor to Saudi Crown Prince MBS and the person who managed the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, had bought from Mossad spyware and promoted for normalization. That promotional campaign wore out its light due to the economic crises that struck the Kingdom, the decline in oil prices, the halting of Hajj and Umrah, the war on Yemen, and the use of the budget of the sovereign fund for the NEOM project.
The city of NEOM has not become a burden on the Saudi citizens who are suffering consecutive economic crises, but it has become a burden on the first cause of Muslims and Arabs, the Palestine cause.
Recently, Israeli newspapers revealed a meeting between the Saudi Crown Prince and Netanyahu in NEOM to discuss the normalization between the Israeli occupation and the Kingdom. Foreign reports revealed that Saudi Arabia is taking Israel as a major and powerful party in the NEOM project.
