On November 27, 2020, a meeting between the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Mossad Director Yossi Cohen, and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, was held in the city of NEOM established by the Saudi Crown Prince on the Red Sea coast, in partnership with Egypt, Jordan, and the Israeli Occupation.
On this day, the head of the Research and Development Organization in the Iranian Ministry of Defense, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was assassinated, which increased the heat of events, especially after news of the meeting was leaked to the media.
Bin Salman’s meeting with Netanyahu, Pompeo, and Cohen also raised several questions about the nature of the NEOM city project, and what role Israel plays in this city, and is the project a pure investment, as the Saudi Crown Prince claims, or is there another hidden agenda for the Israeli occupation state in the region?
The Israeli occupation’s participation in the city was covered under the name of investment, as the Saudi government made agreements with Israeli companies working in technology and digital fields. This became apparent even before the city was established, reflecting its role in normalization with the occupation and conspiring against the right of the Palestinian, Arab and Islamic people to the land of Al-Aqsa and all of Palestine.
Political analysts stressed that this visit must be linked to the active work to normalize relations between the tyrannical Arab regimes and the occupying Zionist entity.
They also predicted that Iran was discussed between the parties to the meeting, which means that NEOM is not just a city for investment to diversify the Saudi economy, but rather it is a prior agreement made between the parties to the normalization in the region, in order to establish an Israeli presence in the region after conspiring against the Palestinian resistance, and the right of the Palestinian and Arab people.
According to what was announced, Netanyahu came to the city by an Israeli businessman aircraft, which raises many questions on the nature of the visit, and the role of businessmen affiliated with the occupying entity in the bin Salman project.
Israeli media agencies dealt with the meeting under the title “A glimmer of shining history ” and spoke about the businessman who moved Netanyahu on his plane, whom they did not rule out that he would have a role in arranging the meeting between bin Salman and the rest of the delegation, especially since the trade relations between Tel Aviv and the Kingdom Saudi Arabia has made great strides, and preceded the idea of political communication, or accepting normalization or not. The media agencies indicated that businessmen of the Israeli occupation state work as mediators to complete the normalization process, therefore they exchanged visits to Saudi Arabia with Western and foreign passports.
Businessmen also played a major role in the recognition by the Gulf capitals, particularly Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, of the benefits of security, technological and economic ties with the strong “Israel” that cannot be bypassed, not only for their own benefit but also because of the American approval (political, security and military) it brings to establish the foundations of Gulf rulers and their ruling, where the Crown Prince bin Salman is at the top list.
