The Arab Centre in Washington, DC, stated in a new report released this week that several Arab capitals have not changed their normalization with the Israeli occupation path since the start of the Israeli genocide war on the Gaza Strip but have instead assisted it in suppressing the Palestinian people and the resistance.
According to the Arab Centre, a number of Arab countries, including Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, and Morocco, insist on adhering to their normalization deals with the Israeli state. “For them, rescinding the accords and suspending their recognition of Israel is untenable.”
Under Mohammed bin Salman’s (MBS) rule, Saudi Arabia is moving closer to secretly completing normalization with the Israeli occupation, declaring war on the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, and besieging any kind of assistance that might be helpful to the Palestinian people.
Titled “Normalization Survives Despite the Gaza War,” the report indicated that the normalizers are adhering to their decisions, seemingly regardless of what happens to the Palestinians and to their right to live in peace and in an independent state.
The report also noted that other nations were prompted to adopt the normalization approach by Israel’s progress toward normalization, in spite of the suffering, tragedies, and genocide endured by the Palestinian people.
The report also made it clear that the Gaza war was the best litmus test for determining the Arab countries’ stance on supporting the Palestinian cause, since the United Arab Emirates, the most steadfast normalizer, swiftly denounced the Aqsa Flood operation carried out by the Palestinian resistance on October 7.
Subsequently, Saudi Arabia officially denounced the operation and charged the resistance with conspiring with Israel to wipe out and destroy the Palestinian people through its state-run media and government-linked clerics.
The Saudi Kingdom also banned pro-Palestine duaa in Mecca and at the Prophet’s Two Holy Mosques, as well as any material and financial support initiatives that had previously actively supported the Palestinian cause during less consequential Palestinian events.
