Media sources and research centers revealed that the government of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman pumped millions of dollars to support people and parties to gain their loyalty during the elections in the State of Iraq, in order to gain Saudi influence inside Iraq.

Research centers have revealed that pumping Saudi funds to support parties, parties and personalities inside Iraq threatens the stability of the state and exacerbates its crises.

In response, Saudi sources said that Saudi Arabia is trying to stop Iran’s influence in Iraq, by controlling the parliamentary elections, as KSA considers Iraq a threat, by its strategic enemy, Iran.

Other studies said that bin Salman took advantage of the failure to enact a law in the Iraqi parliamentary elections with the permissible limit of spending on advertising, so he squandered tens of millions of KSA’s money, to influence the elections.

Specialists said that confronting Iran is an important step for the Kingdom, but the problem lies in dealing with the Saudi-Iranian crisis, as MBS lacks the experience and the capability to deal with this crisis, especially in light of the absence of all former senior officials in the Kingdom, whom are either imprisoned or under house arrest. This will increase the crisis in the future and weaken the KSA against Iran, like the case in Yemen.

The director of the Iraqi-Australian Center for Studies, Ahmed Al-Yasiri, said: The political money that was pumped helped the candidates to buy votes, falsify the will of the voters, by deceiving them with money, and exploiting the severe crises the country is going through.

He added: Some candidates or those working with them, agree with citizens who do not care about the elections, to go and give their votes to a certain amount of money starting from $30 to $200, and this happens in many regions, which led many people to see no point of the elections and boycott it.

In the same context: Institutions criticized Bin Salman’s action, because what he did is nothing but a series of wasting the kingdom’s money, without a comprehensive successful vision for resolving crises, citing the billions of dollars that the kingdom loses every period in the Yemen war, as well as the dead soldiers, and the occurrence of a state of insecurity in areas close to Yemen.
