As Mohammed bin Salman’s (MBS) plans spread to Medina, the people there became alarmed for fear that he would target the remnants of the prophecy there and erase its status and religious dignity—something no ruler dared to do—as part of his strategy to westernize the Kingdom and erase its Islamic identity and values. His plans started in Riyadh by hosting festivals and foreign wrestlers and artists at a cost of billions of dollars.

Medina has always been highly revered by Muslims in general and the House of Saud rulers in particular. However, the Zionists have a problem with Medina because they believe that the Prophet Muhammad drove them out of it and that it is their home, which they will return to eventually. All they can do is ruin Medina, tamper with its history, and undermine its sacredness in the hearts of Muslims.

MBS started to tamper with the sanctity of this city by replacing a sign for Muslims only and the Haram’s border, while the first word on traffic and monument signs in the Prophet’s city is no longer displayed.

Removing this banner had negative effects on the city’s residents, who were startled to see footage of two adorned girls trying to enter the Prophet’s Mosque while the call to prayer was being heard. The girls were not wearing a headscarf and were dressed provocatively before a security guard stopped them.

In observance of the mosque’s status and prestige, women’s underwear vendors were also permitted to exhibit their products in the streets and shops within a few meters of the mosque, whereas previously this was not allowed.

Despite knowing the holiness and symbolism of the Prophet’s Mosque for Muslims in the Kingdom and around the world, the MBS government welcomed an extremist Indian Hindu delegation and permitted it to tour the area in January of last year.

MBS has completely provoked the feelings of Muslims by permitting these violations, which his forefathers did not permit.

Not only that, but in tandem with these acts, the path is being set for Israeli infiltration into Medina. In 2017, a picture of the Israeli Ben Zion was taken from the Prophet’s Mosque square, dressed in clothing bearing Hebrew text.

Then things progressed with the government’s approval of Israeli delegations’ full access to Medina. The delegations included media professionals, businessmen, and tourists.

In another video, an Israeli showed up and boasted about taking a self-capture near the Prophet’s mosque. He said, “A year ago, we were not allowed to enter Riyadh, but now we are free to walk around Medina.”

In February 2023, the Israeli Channel 13 published a report for the first time from the heart of Medina a few meters away from the grave of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.

Additionally, a report by the Hebrew newspaper The Times of Israel tracked the frequent trips to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by Israeli businessmen, media personalities, and other groups, as well as their entry into Medina with full freedom in July 2022.

By adding fun and entertainment festivals to the city, the fingers of amusement and entertainment have started to work on erasing its sanctit. It all started with the “Hawa” project, whose objective was to create an outdoor theater that was free to the public.

Subsequently, several religious institutes were shut down, including the renowned Religious Scientific Institute. A group of scholars and reciters were also arrested, including Sheikh Ahmed Al-Amari, the dean of the University of Medina’s College of the Holy Qur’an, who was tortured to death in 2019. Rabie Hafez, a reciter and vocalist, was also arrested in 2017.

Furthermore, the MBS regime took a risk by amending the law on the sale of real estate to foreigners in Mecca and Medina. Prior to this, foreigners were not allowed to own real estate in these cities, but under the guise of supporting the economy, they were permitted. Experts did not think that Israelis would be able to claim ownership in Medina through their European passports or through a sub-buyer, as was the case in Jerusalem through Emirati buyers.

Recently, there have been campaigns to demolish several of houses under the guise of development, alter the names of historic streets, and force the eviction of residents from a number of Medina neighborhoods without providing them with fair compensation.
