Many international media platforms revealed a new displacement campaign in different parts of the country, claiming the implementation of the Vision 2030 projects announced by Crown Prince bin Salman in 2017, during which the Saudi people have not seen any significant achievement, but rather increased taxes and cut off the cost-of-living allowance.

The displacement campaigns began since Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman forcibly displaced some of the Al-Huwaiti tribe in order to establish the Neom city project, after confiscating their homes, killing one of them, and arresting dozens.

The security agencies of MBS started a new forced displacement campaign in the town of Tandaha in the Khamis Mushait Governorate, claiming to implement new investment projects, which the people of the region rejected and insisted on staying in their homes.

Social media users and opponents of the policies of MBS against the people of the Kingdom noted that this campaign is not intended to achieve economic projects, as bin Salman's apparatus claims, but rather to steal the people's capabilities and wealth.

Alia Al-Huwaiti, a Saudi activist opposed to the policies of displacement and injustice practiced by MBS, said on her Twitter account that MBS intends to demolish the homes of the Otaiba tribe in the Dawadmi area, and Al-Baqoom in Torbah.

Alia added that this tweet is a warning to all those living in those areas where the Saudi government research has revealed to be mineral-rich lands.

Alia also published a map of the mining areas of the Kingdom's regions and said that MBS is will displace all the residents of that mining area, and will not seek to achieve sustainable development there.

Dr. Saad Al-Faqih indicated in his tweets that the Crown Prince has now moved to a new phase of forced displacement in the Juhayna tribes and then will move to the Asir regions, and he intends to demolish more than 13 residential areas and forcibly displace its people.

The Saudi activist, Mohamed Al-Otaibi, stated that he received a document of correspondence between King Salman and his son a few days ago that MBS Bin Salman’s forces had already started the forced displacement campaign.

Al-Otaibi said in a tweet “I say to my family in the Asir region, tighten your belts from now on and defend your homes, as did your ancestors whose graves bear witness to it, and do not sell it for a handful of riyals.”

Other Saudi sources revealed that the Crown Prince had issued a decision regarding the displacement of hundreds of families in Al-Qatif region, which has a Shiite majority, and the demolishing of the entire area overlooking Al-Thawra Street.

Another account bearing the name “Qatif activist” referred to the acts of MBS who seeks to take revenge on the families which supported the widespread protests against bin Salman, as well as to avenge the families of dozens of martyrs and detainees who live next to this street, in addition to erasing the history of these ancient neighborhoods for hundreds of years.

The account also revealed that the people refuse to sell their homes and be displaced from their homeland in principle and that the amount of compensation would not be adequate for buying alternative housing, because some homes are housing more than one family, and thus the crisis of providing alternative housing will double.
